Getting started guide

Everything you need before onboarding: sign up, API keys, and sub-accounts.

What you need: an email address · an ID document (BingX) · a 2FA app (Google Authenticator) · about 10–15 minutes

01

Create your exchange account

Skip this section if you already signed up through the ONYX link.

1

Open the ONYX sign-up link

Use the button below. Signing up through this link is what places your account under the ONYX network.

2

Complete the sign-up

Enter your email, verify the confirmation code, and set a password.

3

Finish identity verification (KYC)

Toobit lets you trade spot and futures without KYC. You can complete it later if needed.

02

Create your main-account API key

Used in onboarding step 2. Withdrawal permission must stay OFF.

ONYX only accepts keys without withdrawal permission — your funds always stay on the exchange.

1

Open the API management page

Log in on the exchange website, open your account menu, and find API management.

2

Create a new API key — withdrawal OFF

Google Authenticator (2FA) is required to create the key. Enable Read-write, Futures and Spot — Spot is used only to read your deposit history, not to trade. Never enable withdrawal — ONYX rejects keys with withdrawal permission.

3

Add the ONYX server IP to the whitelist

In the key’s allowed-IP (whitelist) field, add the ONYX server address 107.189.24.201. Keys locked to this IP stay valid with no expiry — without it, Toobit keys expire after 90 days and BingX can auto-delete inactive keys.

4

Copy the key and secret

The secret is shown only once, right after creation. Paste both into ONYX onboarding step 2.

03

Create a sub-account and its API key

Each strategy you follow runs in its own isolated sub-account.

Toobit: sub-accounts can only be created on the PC website.

No funds on the exchange yet? Deposit USDT to your main account first — in the Deposit menu, select USDT and make sure the network matches the wallet you are sending from.

1

Create a sub-account

Open the sub-account menu on the exchange and create a new sub-account.

2

Create the sub-account API key — withdrawal OFF

Same as the main account: same permissions, withdrawal OFF, and the same IP 107.189.24.201 in the whitelist.

3

Transfer funds and connect

Move the amount you plan to deploy into the sub-account, then paste its key in the ONYX follow flow.

04

Troubleshooting

The most common places people get stuck.

Your account was probably not created through the ONYX link. See “I already have an account” in section 01 — you will need a new account created through the link.

The most common cause is withdrawal permission being enabled. Create a new key with read and trade permissions only.

Exchanges show the secret only once, right after creation. If you lost it, delete the old key and create a new one.

On Toobit, sub-accounts can only be created on the PC website. BingX supports both PC and mobile.

Ready to go?

Once your account, API key, and sub‑account are ready, connect them to ONYX in onboarding.

The automated trading programs provided by ONYX do not guarantee profit. Futures and leveraged trading carry the risk of total loss of principal and liquidation. All investment decisions and outcomes are the sole responsibility of the user.
